WELCOME TO THE LONDON CAR CLUB

The London Car Club was first established as the North West London Car Club. The club evolved to become the London Motor Club and in 1970, incorporating the North London Enthusiasts Club, it was re-named the London Car Club. It is a recognised club of the governing body of British Motor Sport, the Motor Sports Association, www.msauk.org

Over the years distinguished members have included Sir Stirling Moss, Graham Hill and Damon Hill. Numbered among current honorary members are Johnny Herbert and Kelvin Burt. The late Raymond Baxter, television personality and racer in his own right, was an ex-chairman.

Present members are active in circuit racing, rallying, karting, speed trials, sporting trials, hill climbing, classic car events and marshalling at all levels in the UK and abroad and have experience in various other areas of motorsport. A number of members are MSA licensed instructors.

The Victoria public house, LondonThe LCC aims to give positive support to experienced competitors and active advice to novices with little or no knowledge of motor sport. The club organises events both sporting and social for all members to enjoy.

The club meets once a month at The Victoria public house in the Library Bar, Sussex Place, Paddington, London W2. Supporting members are also welcome.

The Victoria’s connection with motor sport goes back many decades when it was the pub of choice for the staff of AutoSport magazine and was a well-known and regular meeting point for racers, would-be racers and sponsors in the 1960’s and early 1970’s.
