Steve and Wendy Gibson have just completed their first tarmac rally in the BMW RWD Championship series at Bont, Wales. A silly mistake during SS1 on Day 1 cost them a big time penalty, and probably as many as 10 places in the final results. The rest of the day seemed somewhat cursed, but a fresh start on Day 2 had the pair flying again. Stages 5 & 6 both went well, but then bad luck struck again on Stage 7 when the car in front of them crashed out and the stage was cancelled. Undaunted, they were back on form for SS8, setting 13th fastest time and finishing 32rd overall.

Honorary member Sean Walker has been doing greater things in European historic sports car racing recently. Driving an ultra rare - and ultra good - Lotus Elan 26R, he has racked up nothing but podium places so far this season. At the opening two races at Hockenheim, he was third and second, respectively. Sadly the second round at Most was cancelled, but at Misano, Sean was held second place in both races, as well as setting fastest lap in the first of them. Unfortunately we have no races reports so far from the series, but we will update this site as more information comes in.
