After his impressive 2nd place in his rookie year in the 2004 SEAT Cupra Championship, OLI WILKINSON is taking a sabbatical this year while sorting out a Touring Car drive for 2006. Following the latest round at Zolder, SEAN WALKER is currently 3rd overall and 2nd in class (GTS10) in the FIA GTC Historic Racing Championship. Although he failed to score in Race 1, in Race 2 he poshed his Lotus Elan 26R into thrid pkace, close on the heels of a far more powerful GT40 and a Chevrolet Corvette. STEVE LONG and WENDY GIBSON are now well into their brave first season of Special Stage Rallying with their flying E30 BMW, and are starting to discover just what a wallet-emptying experience it can be. The Sunbeam Rapier Mk2 of PAUL RANN and JOHN PARNELL is becoming a familiar sight on the fiendishly complicated HRCR navigational rallies, making good progress in one of the most difficult areas of motorsport to get to grips with. Meanwhile, work commitments have kept ANNA TAIT and TIM IMRIE out of action so far this year, but they are planning to dust off their Fiat Dino in September for the HRCR Isle of Bute Road Rally. |
