For the first time in many years, the Gloucster Trial explored a new site, a wooded hill-side to the north east of Stroud, not far from Bisley. For once the skies were clear and bright, and the air very cold, and there was a good turn out of over thirty entrants, with only one becoming stuck on the narrow lanes leading to the site!

The site itself was excellent, even if it was initially something of a challenge. Being in trees, rather than on open ground, it gave the crews plenty to think about, and often more time was spent getting cars off the hills than up them. But overall the day went well, and having learnt what needs to be done next time, Britain's oldest motor sport event has hopefully found a fine new home.
