Steve Long and Wendy Gibson have won the BMW Beginners' Rally Championship. After a tough year with a couple of major offs, the pair came second in the beginners' class on the Premier Rally in Sherwood Forest, a fast stage rally over difficult rutted ground, often in the dark. That placing was sufficient to clinch the championship overall for them. It was a well deserved victory, and the club heartily congratulates them and wishes them every success in the coming season.
