Another great Trial, another trophy for the unstoppable John Fack! Despite a rainy start to the day, by the time last week-end's sporting trial got under way, the skies had cleared, and while the weather was not exactly sun-drenched, it was at least dry. As was the course: the site at Long Compton always drains well, and after such a dry winter, this time round the ground was distinctly firm. Even so, although some entrants struggled on the first and second rounds, in the afternoon many were clearing even the most challenging hills. But never enough to worry the event's winners, John and Jordan Fack (Red Class), who on 29 points, were 16 points ahead of the second placed car of Ian Wright and Jack Davies. Winners of the Blue Class were Jon Moores and Nick Ponting (55 points), while Andy Abraham and Kieran Abraham scooped the Green Class on 72 points. There was an excellent turn out of 35 entrants, with only one non-starter and one retirement, and the LCC looks forward to seeing them all again in December for the Gloucester Trial. |
