LCC Chairman Hugh Marshall is competing in the revised TVR Tuscan Championship and came in an excellent 2nd in Round 1 at Oulton Park in April. Rain made qualifying difficult on the Saturday, so Hugh was relatively happy with 4th on the grid, which effectively became third when the car in front dropped a valve and was withdrawn.During the race itself, hugh was hampered by an overly long third gear, which meant he lost a place at the start and lost time coming out of the corners. Consequently it was a while before he could regain 3rd place from Marc Hockin's Griffith. Then a fuel pump failure took the lead car of David Mason out of the running and prompted Hugh to 2nd, which was where he stayed to the finishing line, just managing to stave off Tim Hood's Sagaris by 0.8 seconds at the chequered flag.
