JACOBEAN SPORTING TRIAL Published: May 11, 2007

The Jacobean Sporting Trial on Sunday 29 April made history this year on two counts: not only was the weather unseasonably bright and sunny, but uniquely the overall winner was from the Green (least experienced) Class. Since the definitions of the Jacobean Trophy limit the award to the winner of the Red (most experienced) Class, for the first time in its long existence, the Jacobean Trophy did not go to the winner of the Jacobean Trial. The results were as follows: Overall Winner: Thomas Bricknell / Green Class Jacobean Trophy: Steve Courts / Red Class Club Trophy: Roland Uglow / Blue Class Gordon Holdrup Trophy: Thomas Bricknell / Green Class Bouncers Trophy: Joanne Edwards / Green Class Norman Overton: John Fack Rob Davies: Stuart Beare Sabre: Richard Gowen The Club would like to thank everyone who turned up and helped to make the day such a success, and hopes to see them all again for the Gloucester Trial on 2 December.
